Volunteers are a vital aspect of our various programs and we appreciate the time that is put in to assist us. General Volunteers
General Volunteer is a term used to describe volunteers who do not assist in the Academics Department. General Volunteers assist with all other programs and have various duties to choose from.
All prospective volunteers are asked to fill out a simple form providing us with your contact information, a brief background, and your interests. Once your information is processed and approved, we will be ready to welcome you to our HHYC volunteer team!
All volunteers will be under the direct supervision of a Helping Hands staff member. In order to volunteer without direct supervision, volunteers will be required to undergo a criminal background check.

Academic Volunteers
Academic Volunteers assist exclusively with services related to the Academics Department, such as tutoring and educational mentoring session. These volunteers preferably have some form of higher education, or have excelled in their high school career.
All prospective volunteers are asked to fill out a simple form providing us with your contact information, a brief background, and your interests. Once your information is processed and approved, we will be ready to welcome you to our HHYC volunteer team!
